KATHMANDU — Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) has arrested Peter Christian Langendorf (66), a Swiss national, on pedophilia charges on Friday.

MPCD stated that Peter had lured a 16-year-old boy via Facebook Messenger and sexually exploited him at a hotel in Chuchhepati. The police also said that the underaged boy faced sexual exploitation in different hotels in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur.

 

Peter has admitted to the crime and is sent to the Police station in Teku. Peter was running Langtang Education Project and Edu-core Schweiz Nepal at Langtang in Rasuwa and also runs Welcome Heritage Inn (Bhaktapur) and Trigger Inn hotel (Chucchepati) in a joint partnership. Police stated that Peter provided money to the boy to hide his crime.

According to Nepal’s Muluki Ain Article 3, Peter faces six to ten years in jail. The police have filed a rape case against him.

Peter was living in Siddhapokhari, Bhakatapur and hails from Basil, Switzerland.
