Nepal has a huge market for commuter motorcycles of 125cc. Many manufacturers are targeting commuter series. It comes from the budget middle class and working class segment. Styles and looks do not matter in this section. Riders prefer fuel efficiency and maintenance in long run.These types of motorcycles are commuter oriented. it is preferred for city riding, low maintenance, and high fuel efficiency.   1. Bajaj Discover 125 ST

The Discover 125 ST is equipped with disc brakes as an option. It produces out put of 11 bhp and 10.8Nm. It has DTSi Twin spark Technology with a 4 valve engine. Unlike other commuter series which have only 2 valves, the Discover 125 rev faster and smoother. DTSi Twin Spark, allows the ride to ride without sacrificing mileage.

2. Hero Glamour

The glamour was launched back in 2005, but it still maintains it’s original look. It produces 8.9 bhp and 10.35Nm with a claimed efficiency of 81km/l. It has two variant FI variant and carbureted version. Carburetted version is good for the condition Nepal. Still, it is preferable for city commuting due to it cheap availability of parts and services.

3. Yamaha Saluto

Yamaha is well-known brand in commuter motorcycle world for it refined product and worth for its money. It has been almost two years, it has not found its market in the likes of Pulsar Discover series and Honda series. Nonetheless makes it very user-friendly bike for fuel efficiency and practicality.

4. Hero Super Splendor

It is an updated version of old splendor in the segment of 125 ccs. Hero has tried to continue with an old trusted brand of Splendor. This bike produces 9bhp and 10.35Nm. It is well known for its mileage and city riding.

5. TVS Phoenix 125

It is the most underrated motorcycle in this segment. It’s 125 cc engine produces 11 bhp and 10.8N. It comes with cool graphics, along with optional disc brake up front. It is well known for its maneuverability

6. Honda CB Shine SP

How can we forget Honda CB Shine SP, it is an updated model of Honda CB Shine. It comes with a 5-speed transmission. It engines produce 10.57bhp and 10.3rpm. These bikes come with load updated features.
