Thousands of people have made their careers through Instagram. People from different backgrounds leverage social media platforms to share their experience and expertise with their digital audience. Since its advent, Instagram has helped people earn a livelihood in the comfort of their home by creating original sponsored content for brands.

Take the case of Alex Lombard – the 29-year-old entrepreneur who has mastered the art of turning the photo-sharing digital platform into a thriving business tool. “Instagram is certainly a highly visual platform. As someone who understands the platform well, I’ll say that if you can entice your audience into double tapping that heart, leaving a comment, or sharing your post, you are more than halfway through,” says Alex.

Alex considers Instagram as a modern-day portfolio. He has outlined some simple and effective ways by which one can create their personal brands on Instagram. He suggests that being authentic should be the first and foremost rule to attract followers. “One doesn’t need to portray having a pitch-perfect life, but being organic in all the posts is always the key to gaining traction. It is also important to make use of features such as geo-tagging, re-posting, and importantly, responding to comments posted by visitors, and using relevant hashtags. These are some of the basic principles to follow,” Alex advises.

Alex’s entrepreneurial journey started when he realized that a typical 9-to-5 job was not meant for him. The St. Louis Missouri native had a different approach to work and he knew that a career in digital marketing would suit his ideals best.

That’s how he ventured into entrepreneurship at the age of 21. While talking about his journey, Alex said, “I was never keen on working under somebody and always dreamed of running my own show. I entered into the digital marketing space when I realized that I wanted to earn a living as an influencer and help people build their online community as well. The best aspect of my job is the flexibility of working as per my convenience and in my comfort zone. Along with this, money is certainly a great thing, but helping others through my expertise is what pushes me to do better each day.”

Alex, a multiple six-figure earner, co-founded Invigor8, a digital marketing firm. He is also the founder of VisionWall, a personal online brand. Alex is hopeful that Invigor8 will soon surpass the one-million revenue mark in 2019. Besides, he has over a million followers between his two brands on Instagram. He personally manages more than a hundred 7 to 8-figure earners through his business and assists them in expanding their online presence. Alex has already shared his success mantra on different platforms. Evaluating one’s page, exploring engagement opportunities through likes, comments, views and stories among others, brand realization, having a clear message and remaining active through one’s social media platform have been Alex’s major tips to those who want to follow his path to create their own niche in the field of digital marketing.
